At Wings of Eagles Ranch, we need an army of volunteers to make our programs happen every week. To showcase all the good they do for the community and their heart to serve, we want to share some of their stories.

Jordan Butts My name is Jordan and I am currently 17 years old and live in Concord, North Carolina. I have been homeschooled my entire life and heard of the ranch through my older sisters, Allyson and Emily, who have volunteered here for many years - I am honored to follow in their footsteps.
I have 5 sisters: Kaitlyn, Allyson, Emily, Courtney, and Lindsey. Especially during quarantine, we have all enjoyed running cross-country, playing spike-ball, basketball, and just being outdoors. We also enjoy reading books, watching movies together, doing crafts, listening to music, dancing, swimming, and eating pizza! My family provides me with a profound sense of comfort, security, joy, and peace knowing there is a group of people that loves me and look out for my interests. I couldn't ask for a better group of individuals to spend my life with.
Concerning the future, I am waiting for the Lord to reveal to me what exactly he would have me do with my life. I am not concerned with any certain job, but i am trusting in the Lord's timing/plan!
Emily Butts My name is Emily and I am 16 years old, living Concord where I am currently homeschooled. I would describe myself as a pretty out-going person. I like serving people, laughing and smiling. I can be quiet at times and don't mind being myself. I heard of the Ranch from my older sister, Allyson who has volunteered for several years. My first volunteer position was a camp counselor during summer camp. After that, I continued volunteering for some of the riding sessions.
I have chosen to volunteer at the Ranch specifically because we have so many opportunities to be blessed and to be a blessing. Volunteering has impacted me and my life in so many ways. I enjoy serving other people; I feel I can do that in so many different ways at the Ranch. It is awesome to see and hear about all the monumental moments that occur and I am glad to be a part of the amazing work being done.
My career aspirations include becoming a homeschool mom and be able to teach my kids from the foundation of a Christian worldview. Before that happens, I have many possible interests for careers; including nursing, PTA/OTA training, sports ministry, and culinary school.
